What this is

Small-group. Hands-on.

Kids design and build their own videogame from scratch.

Each session has a maximum of 8 students, so everyone gets real attention and real progress.

Visual scripting language. No prior coding or game experience needed.

Over five days

What students do

Create a simple playable 3D game protoype
Learn how movement, interaction, and game logic work
Build out game mechanics and refine how the game plays
Test and refine their game

By Friday

What they leave with

Their own playable 3D game
A clear understanding of how games are built
A project they can continue developing at home

Final day: students present the games they built during the week. Parents are invited.

10:30 AM – 1:30 PM Includes a supervised lunch break (12:00–12:30), used for informal sharing and idea exchange

Students bring a recent laptop. Any Windows or Apple is fine
No prior experience required

Instructor

Who teaches this

Luis builds videogames as artworks shown in international museums and festivals and holds a PhD from UC Davis on how digital systems shape the world. He's also a dad who thinks kids are the best students.
